For family fun this festive season, look no further than the Winter in Watford website, the one stop shop for all the town’s Christmas events and activities.
Returning for a third year, Winter in Watford is a marketing campaign that sees Watford BID join forces with intu Watford, the Palace Theatre, Watford Colosseum and Watford Borough Council, to jointly promote why Watford really is the place for all your festive activities this year.
Residents and visitors can go skating on a real ice rink, see Christmas shows including the annual Panto and take the children to Santa’s grotto. Watford is the place for all your Christmas shopping both at intu Watford and out on the High Street, with free parking available weekdays from 5pm at Intu Watford.
The website www.winterinwatford.com includes information on the St Mary’s Church Christmas Tree Festival, the return of the famous Coca-Cola truck as well as details on how to book on the Santa Express line between Watford and St Albans.
Visitors to the site will also find out about Watford BID’s festive celebration, taking place on The Parade on Saturday 16th December, which sees the return of the popular Snow King and Queen, Jack Frost juggler, winter dancers and a free giant snow globe, perfect for fun photo opportunities.
Kwame Tefe, Chair of Watford BID said “We’re delighted to be partnering with other local organisations to spread the word about the fantastic range of experiences on offer in Watford this festive season. There’s genuinely something for everyone and we’re proud to be part of the activities that make Watford a ‘must visit’ destination this winter.”
The Winter in Watford website is packed with useful information for anyone visiting Watford this festive season from booking tickets to travel and parking information.
