The weather today will be wholly unremarkable, with dark clouds giving way to more dark clouds. The temperature will rarely hit higher than the low teens.
Severe delays will be felt on the District Line due to strike action. A row over the treatment of a driver led to this 24-hour walkout which is being coordinated by the train drivers’ union Aslef.
Less significant delays will be felt on the Overground, with minor delays Stratford to Richmond as staff attempt to fix a faulty train at Camden Road. There is a good service on all other routes.
In west Essex the M11 through Chigwell is running slowly, as are roads in Buckhurst Hill. In north London the North Circular is jammy around the Tottenham area, with very slow traffic due to accident , between a van and car further west in Finchley. Lane one of three was closed for ongoing gas works, and now the accident is also blocking lane three.
